Best Self-Expelling Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

If you're in search of a robot mop and vacuum that is easy for set-up and maintenance, we recommend buying one that has a an easy base station. This allows you to clean or replace cleaning pads as well as empty and clean the dirty water tank.
Also, think about a model that is connected to Wi-Fi so you can set automatic or set times for your runs and map your home and use mop/vacuum switching features.
1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra
This powerful robot mop and vacuum is a true powerhouse. It cleans your floors, detects rug rugs, and then self-empties its own dustbin and water tanks. It is equipped with an impressive suction and even dispensing detergent. All this is available with a price tag of $1200. It's the most expensive robot vacuum and mop set I've reviewed so far.
The S7 Max Ultra is easy to install right out from the box. Once you plug it into the wall, it will instruct you to map your home using sensors. Then, it will continue to use that information to avoid obstacles. During our tests, it avoided getting caught up in power cords and long curtains, and even dog toys. It's not perfect but it sometimes ran into obstacles such as tangled wires or the odd book or toy.
The S7 Max Ultra can be controlled via its smartphone app. This is where you can discover all the advanced features that set it apart from other robot vacuums and mop cleaners. They include specific room-specific cleaning and mopping settings, a scheduling planner, mopping and vacuuming power ranges, as well as integrations with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for smart home integration. The S7 Max Ultra's extensive feature set lets it perform everything a standard robot can do, but at a fraction the price.
The S7 Max Ultra's ability to vacuum is impressive and it did a very good job of picking up dirt, pet hair, and other particles on carpet and hard floors. Its automatic dust bin-emptying feature performed perfectly during our tests, which was and reassuring. It also boasts a 5100 Pa HyperForce suction rating, which is significantly superior to the 2,500Pa suction power of the S6 MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra's mopping capabilities was also good, though not the most efficient we've seen. It used microfiber mops that absorb liquids and use sonic vibrating technology to scrub floors up to 3,000 revolutions per minutes. This was a bit quicker than the X1 Omni circular pads that rotate at a rate of 180 rotations per minute. The S7 Max Ultra’s ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is very good. In our tests it didn't snag on any objects and it stayed clear of power cords, long curtains and other potential obstacles 100% of the time.
2. Narwal Freo
It's a chore that is dreaded by many, but it is necessary to keep your home clean. It's a messy, often smelly job that is difficult to finish, since it involves dustbins, dirty water, and the necessity to ensure that hair or debris does not clog traps or brushes. Robots that mop and vacuum are becoming extremely popular. However, many of these devices still require users to manually empty the dust bin, wash and rinse mop pads. This is a hassle particularly if you need to do this several times during or after cleaning sessions. We're glad to see that some manufacturers are introducing self emptying robots to make this process much more simple.
The Narwal Freo, the newest version of the robotic cleaners category, comes with a number of improvements in software, sensors and hardware that are designed to keep it at top of its game. This includes the patented DirtSense technology as well as the Smart-Swing feature, which both work to better sense the area being cleaned and automatically adjusts the cleaning mode depending on the kind of floor it's. The Freo also detects dirt and automatically washes mops when they're full. This improves the efficiency of subsequent cleaning sessions as it does not return to areas that are soiled.
The Freo is also a step forward over its predecessor in that it can be controlled directly by the LCD touchscreen on its base station. This is in addition to the smartphone app. This is a first in a robot vacuum and mop combo and is definitely a welcomed change if you'd rather skip the hassle of using the app. You can even alter the route in the middle of the session by using the LCD screen controls.
The Narwal Freo also does a decent job of keeping its noise lower when it's working with suction, averaging just 63dB when it is in suction mode. The Freo's maintenance is not completely hands-free however. You'll need to clean the main brush roll and the side brushes frequently.
3. Ecovacs Deebot t9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is one of the best self-emptying robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It can map your home and mop and vacuum while detecting and avoiding obstructions. It can even spew out an air freshener, which is a pretty cool feature.
The app generates a map of your house that you can use to clean. It's easy to install. Then, you can make use of the app to choose specific rooms or areas to clean. You can also set the time of day you'd like it start cleaning, so that your floors are clean while you're asleep or away.
In our tests in our tests, we observed the T9+ to be exceptionally adept in navigating around obstacles. However, it has a tendency to take slightly erratic routes around the house, which frequently meant it ended up back at the same spot it started cleaning just a few minutes earlier. This wasn't a lot of times, but it was enough to be noticeable and it is something worth keeping in mind.
The T9+ comes with a variety of accessories including the robot cleaner, docking station and an automatic-emptying station. The mopping unit and the dust bin replacement are available separately.
Its upgraded navigation systems, mapping and obstacle detection are designed to ensure a perfect tidy home without interruptions. The updated 3D obstacle avoidance and detection technology recognises objects with precision to avoid collisions, entanglements or disruptions.
The Deebot T9+ can sweep and vacuum simultaneously. Your floor will appear just as nice as it did when you first purchased it. The disposable mopping pad is easy to use and the microfiber cloth efficiently absorbs dust and seals away stains, leaving no remnants. The huge volume 2.5L auto-empty station is able to hold up to 30 days of debris without leaks, making it easy to keep your home clean with little effort. The T9+ also comes with an upgraded 3000Pa vacuum motor that provides powerful suction for a more effective clean.
4. iRobot Combo j7+
The iRobot Combo j7+ robot is an excellent choice for cleaning floors. It's a vacuum cleaner and mop in one. It has excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. self empty robot vacuum can help you map your home and clean areas, without hitting furniture or walls. The app lets you set up zones to indicate areas that need to be cleaned as well as areas that you don't wish to clean. You can also set up zones for no-mop or no-sweep zones.
iRobot's iAdapt 2.0 technology is a significant component of what makes the Combo j7+ so smart. It uses the front camera, which is mounted on top of the majority of its robots. It can detect dangers, like power cords or pet waste, and avoid them. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo j7+ robot to identify dirt levels, and focus more on those areas.
When the Combo j7+ is aware that it's on a floor that needs to be cleaned then a tiny robot arm equipped with mop pads lifts from under the vacuum. Then, it mops the floor until it senses that mopping pads are dry which only takes about 90 seconds.
The Combo j7+ is also able to detect carpeting, which is great for homes that have the combination of hard floors and rugs. It won't attempt to push the rug through and instead, it will turn away if it feels it cannot make it across the space without damaging the carpet or itself.
I found it easy to control the Combo J7+ through the mobile app, which is very intuitive and well designed. It also works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so you can tell it to start a cleaning run by voice. The only downside I found was that the Combo j7+'s tiny water tank means that you need to replenish it frequently, or else limit its cleaning to smaller areas and run it in eco-mode more often.
Another downside is that the Combo J7+'s dust container is tiny, and you have to empty it manually. The Combo j7+ mop pads are also less efficient than other brands. This is a shame, because this robot is otherwise excellent.
